This Week

At the start of every month, I think it will be more relaxed than the one before.

And halfway through the month, I realize how wrong I am.

So very wrong.  Note to self – stop assuming I’m going to have a relatively chill month.

This week and next are jam-packed.  I hosted some girlfriends for book club last night (read – an excuse to drink wine and eat cheese), and tonight is my Summer Jetset Style trunk show.  I’m especially excited for tomorrow – my husband and I are donning our black tie finest and attending the AMNH Museum Dance (even raided my mother’s jewelry collection for the occasion).  We’re wrapping up the week with a housewarming/belated birthday party for my husband for family on Saturday.

And somehow I found the time to putz around the Internet.

  • I’ve been traveling to India regularly since I was a baby.  Reading Felicia’s posts is like visiting it for the first time.  Pour yourself a cup of chai (NOT chai tea – chai IS tea) and get lost in her beautifully written and photographed posts.
  • Is there such a thing as too much Mexican food?  I don’t think so.  I’ve already made this quinoa dish twice in the past week.
  • The cure for cancer may be closer than you think.
  • Could. not. put. down. this. book. (same goes for its sequel).
  • I got a sneak peek of the Cuyana Real Simple collection yesterday.  It’s good.  Sign up to shop it early!
  • Are GMOs necessarily evil?  Mark Bittman explains it better than I ever could.

What’s new with you?  Any exciting plans this week?  COMMENT below and let me know!
