GOING OFFLINE
How are you?
Truth be told, I’m still recovering. But I’ve said all I need to say about this election, and I’m moving on here.
I took a much-needed day offline on Saturday (something I try to do once every few weeks), and it made a world of difference.
I cleaned up our home. We hosted some of our dearest friends for lunch (and watched our kids play together). We went for a long walk in the park (where I snapped this picture with my husband’s phone). We ate macaroni & cheese.
It was peaceful. It was quiet.
It was healing.
I’m now implementing one offline day a week (usually a Saturday or Sunday). The only exception – my Kindle (too many books to read, too little time)…
I encourage you to do the same – to spend one day a week, completely offline.
It does wonders for one’s sanity.
Quick Hits are short posts that peek into my life – what I’m wearing (and where I’m going), what I’m cooking and eating, and the things I can’t get enough of right now.
