Merry Christmas (to all those that celebrate)! Happy Festivus, for the rest of us!
I’ll be spending the day with the P clan at one of my aunt’s home, eating my favorite mirchi bhajees and talking at the top of my lungs (which is customary if one wants to be heard in our household). It’s not carols, cookies, and curling up with cocoa in front of a fireplace, but damn good all the same. What are you Christmas Day plans?
Also in the Christmas is one of my favorite authors Paulo Coelho, who has generously posted three electronic versions of his books on his website: The Way of the Bow, Stories for Parents, Children, and Grandchildren, and one of my personal favorites, Warrior of the Light. Not only are they free, but they’re provided in several languages (English, Portuguese, French, Spanish) and different electronic formats (PDF, Kindle, Sony Reader, ePub).
Best known for The Alchemist, Coelho infuses his stories of regular people doing regular things with a dose of magic and mysticism. For you spiritualist agnostics, his messages will resonate strongly with you. Skeptics will still enjoy Coehlo’s elegant writing style.
And recessionistas will appreciate the fact that he provided the books for free.
Check them out. Also follow Paulo Coelho on Twitter.
Merry Christmas everyone!
