Blah blah *COLD* blah blah *WEATHER*
But really – can it please heat up? Â My coat choice yesterday was a poor one, as I’m spending the morning in bed with my laptop, a kettle full of hot water with lemon, and raw garlic cloves (suck on a few of those bad boys and you’ll feel better ASAP).
While my evenings this week are filled with dinners and events, my mornings are spent in bed – working (obviously), but also spending the first hours of the day reading with a cup of hot water & lemon. Â It’s been a great way to start the day, and a habit I hope to create – even if it means waking up earlier to have my morning reading time. Â I save my non-fiction reads for the morning – lately, it’s been the New York Times and Jab, Jab, Jab, Right Hook. Â What are you reading right now?
In any case, let’s get to it – my favorite reads of the week:
- As I revamp how I structure each day, I found these reads particularly helpful – how to best manage your energy and certain things to do every weekday.
- Given our addiction to our local pizza place, I couldn’t have stumbled upon this quinoa pizza crust recipe at a better time.
- Winter doesn’t ever seem to leave, so I treated myself to this cozy sweatshirt. Â I also splurged on a Sophie Hulme tote at the Shopbop sale (mine is sold out, but there’s tons of great SH accessories still available). #treatyoself
- Ever wanted to attend an Indian wedding? Â This list sums it up perfectly.
- My friend Cynthia was featured on Career Contessa! Â Cyn and I met freshman year in chemistry class. Â Neither of us ended up doctors, but she was smart enough to switch to the business track in college itself.
- Want to get back in shape? Â Consider these your new best friends – a 6 weeks to sculpted arms guide and HIIT cardio workouts. Â You’re welcome.
