To sum it up in two words: I’M ENGAGED!
It was a whirlwind, and on Monday morning I’m still a bit fazed and in shock that it all happened (especially since it’s back to work and school for us). But then I stare at the sparkling ring on my left hand and gaze over at the countless champagne glasses washed from yesterday’s toast, and it hits me again.
I’m engaged!
My apologies–you will have to bear with me for a while on this.
I’m completely blown away with all the phone calls, texts, Twitter and Facebook messages from everyone. I promise I will get around to thanking you all individually, but just know that me and the fiance are extremely thankful for the well wishes.
S and my relationship has been a whirlwind to say the least. We’ve only dated 5 months (hey, longer than Katy Perry and Russell Brand before they got engaged). Our parents knew about it from the very beginning (due to my inability to hide anything from my mother). And wedding plans are already underway!
It’s all happened so fast, but it’s never felt more right. And I would know.
IÂ will be retelling the “How I Met My Fiance” story very very soon :)Â But in the meantime, I’m bringing back my favorite posts from my single girl days.Â
