What is it about rain that makes days and weeks feel eternal?
It makes me wonder how I managed to graduate from college in Seattle, with a degree that required early mornings labs. Mornings and rain are a surefire recipe for curling up in bed and reading piles of books.
You know, if it weren’t for that whole work thing.
It hasn’t been all doom and gloom. We had a double date with friends at The Lion on Monday (highly recommend the chicken pot pie), and I spoke on a panel at Barnard College’s Athena Center (a definite pinch me moment). The rest of the week is pretty chill – I’m headed down to Pennsylvania today. Partly to help my mom prepare for our big family baby shower this weekend, but mostly to eat all of my mother’s cooking before she jets off to India…again.
