I was all set to hibernate this week.
Stocked up on soup and sandwich fixings. Updated my Netflix and Hulu queues with new shows to binge on. Loaded up my Kindle with digital piles of books I’ve been meaning to get to.
So much for Juno. More like Joke-o.
In any case, I’m indulging in the many boxes of mac-and-cheese I purchased, plowing through a new book each day, and taking advantage of a random surge of energy and getting a lot of work done. While I’m still keeping my hibernation plans for the week, I am looking forward to this weekend. My baby shower is on Saturday, and my random requests (co-ed, no games, spinach dip) have been wonderfully accommodated by Julia, Olivia, and Samira. Victoria and Meghan planned a fancy girls’ tea at the St. Regis for Sunday afternoon, which I’m really looking forward to!
And the Super Bowl, of course. You would think that I’d be rooting for the Seahawks, given that I went to college in Seattle. But I’m a one-team gal – if it’s not my Eagles, it doesn’t really matter to me.
Football snacks, however. THAT I’m excited for.
- Julia’s twist on avocado toast has me drooling.
- If I were to go back and do ONE thing differently in pregnancy, it would be to withhold our baby names.
- The show trailer is almost as good as the article I read about it in. Which is saying something, since the Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt looks AMAZING.
- Bookmark for when you have ample time to read it: 5,200 days in space.
- I always treat myself to a little something every Valentine’s Day, and this year’s gift will be one of these BaubleBar-Benefit sets. This one in particular.
- I roll my eyes at most articles or posts about mentorship (to be, it’s something better done than said), but I was moved by Laura’s mentorship journey – both as a mentor and mentee.
Have a wonderful week, and stay warm!
