Before any trip, I am fanatical about making sure my carry-on is packed with all the necessities to withstand a long flight. Reading materials are a must – the magazines are particularly important during take-off and landing, when I can’t use my iPad. Cleansing cloths, rosewater in a misting can, and a rich moisturizer keep my skin hydrated in flight. While not used in transit, my chargers are too important to throw into my suitcase. My Tory Burch travel socks and luxe eye mask live in my seat bag, which also contains lip balm, headphones, a pen (for filling out immigration cards), hand sanitizer, and gum. Not shown (but equally important) are my inflatable neck pillow and a pashmina (I don’t trust the cleanliness of the flight-provided pillows and blankets), my camera, and a bag of almonds for healthy snacking.
