I’ve come to think of spring as a state of mind now.
It’s a chance to start new. To bloom new ideas. To savor the beauty all around us.
And to hopefully put away the heavy winter clothes for at least 8 months.
In an effort to shake off the winter blues, I made a few changes with spring in mind.
A no-fuss haircut that has literally taken weight off my shoulders. A bold berry lipstick that brightens my mood. A fresh pair of Chucks to stay light on my toes.
And while I’m still in my regular jeans/sweatshirt uniform, they’ve gotten a spring refresh as well, thanks to CeCe and Macy’s.
These floral embroidered jeans are kitten soft and insanely comfortable. With oversized sleeves and the white appliquéd flowers, the sweatshirt feels decidedly luxe (without sacrificing comfort).
It’s classic. It’s comfortable. It’s a little bit unexpected.
It’s very me. Or who I want to be this season, anyway.
With Macy’s Friends & Family sale starting today, I have my eye on a number of things to refresh my wardrobe, my beauty routine, and my home. This oversized linen top will pair perfectly with the jeans for warmer days. For movie dates, I can throw the sweatshirt on top of denim cut-offs and a basic white t-shirt. I plan to restock my favorite bronzer/highlighter before it sells out, and it’s high time we invested in outdoor-friendly dishes.
I’m certainly in a spring state of mind. Now let’s hope the weather catches up.
