When I was a young girl, my parents were constantly throwing parties at our home. I loved the entire productions – our house filled with people, the incredible food my parents would cook, and appointing myself as ring-leader of all the other kids.
Preparing for the party was as exciting as the party itself. My favorite part was sitting with my mother as she selected her jewelry for the evening. She’d let me try on any piece I wished as she paired a fine jeweled set to match her sari for that night.
I treasure those memories. I also know recognize them as the moments that turned me into a bona-fide jewelry addict.
Last week, Send The Trend (a company I’ve bee a long-time fan of) graciously invited me and a few other bloggers to visit the showroom and sneak a peek at their upcoming collections. It was a lovely evening – intimate, laugh-filled, and delicious.
The highlight of the evening – selecting some pieces to add to my own collection.
It took me right back to sitting on the floor of my mother’s closet, trying on this necklace and stacking her bangles on my tiny wrists.
I was immediately attracted to these vibrant pieces. I love the bright hues, the geometric designs, and their incredible versatility.
They transform the most simple of outfits into party-ready holiday ensembles.
Kicking off this week is Send The Trend’s Style Challenge. I’m so appreciative of your support of this blog, and would love your vote in this contest. You can vote here.
