I’m a klutz.
My knees are scarred from sports, biking, and general clumsy moments from my childhood. The floors of my apartment are dented and scratched from various things that have fallen out of my hands.
Cellphones, however, have been the biggest victim.
Scratched backs, Cracked screens. A rare screen popping out of the frame was the demise of my iPhone 6, and a completely shattered screen on my 6S Plus (a long story) had me at the Apple store on a snowy, Sunday night.
It’s not that I haven’t tried to protect my phone from the elements (read: me). I always keep them in a case (currently loving this one), and I usually have a screen protector as well.
The problem with most screen protectors? They suck.
They scratch easily. Their stickiness wears off with time, making them obsolete after a few months. And they’re not exactly pretty.
In all honesty, screen protectors are pretty ugly. And yet, they’re necessary.
Enter Phantom Glass. They’ve created a screen protector that’s as gorgeous as it is durable (and conveniently reached out to me 2 days after Shattergate).
The beauty of this protector is pretty obvious. The ruggedness, however, requires more explanation:
- The glass itself is stronger and more durable than your iPhone’s own screen. It also wipes fingerprints and any residue a lot more easily.
- The adhesive is amazing – not only does it fill in minor scratches on your phone’s screen, but it also creates a tight bond to your screen in under 30 seconds.
- You’ll only need to purchase it once for your particular phone – it removes and reapplies easily AND has a lifetime warranty.
And it’s PRETTY. I had always been annoyed about covering my phone’s metal color (currently loving the rose gold), and I love that my Phantom Glass edge-to-edge case brings the color to the front.
It’s also relatively inexpensive (when compared to a $150 screen placement or $300 phone replacement), at $40 CAD.
Canada – stop being so awesome. Between poutine, Justin Trudeau, and Phantom Glass, I’m starting to get envious. And an inferiority complex.
