Carol and I met freshman year in college – we bonded over our love for travel and tennis. Â While we’ve recently reconnected through out blogs, I’m happy that our mutual love of travel has simply increased, and I’ll be picking her brain when planning upcoming trips to Greece and (eventually) French Polynesia. Hi everyone!  I’m Carol from Everyday Delights and thank you so much to my friend Hitha for letting my guest blog while she’s out soaking up the sun!  Hitha and I met in college so it’s been fun to reconnect on our blogs, even though she is now across the country.
The best Christmas gift I ever received was my American Girl doll – Samantha.  If I think back to my childhood, my Samantha doll is pretty much in every memory.  I took her everywhere – she even took a trip to Italy with me when I was little!
In the days before the good ol’ Internet I would sit for hours just flipping through the catalog circling what I wanted next. Â I read all the American Girl books growing up, did tea parties with my friends and our dolls, and I think that they are positive role models for young girls.
I eventually got her whole collection, then got Felicity and currently of my American Girl stuff is safely tucked away in my parents attic.  Every time I see a young girl carrying her American Girl doll it makes me smile because I think of all the happy memories I had with my dolls!
