As this is my husband’s and my first Christmas together, I’ve been on a mission to make it the merriest holiday season yet. We’ve decorated the apartment and are going to the Nutcracker this weekend. Â This past weekend, we took my visiting best friend to Rockefeller Center to see the tree. There are few things more festive than sugar cookies, cut into holiday shapes and decorated with thick icing. We decorated these yesterday while watching the holiday classic Home Alone, and it was the perfect end to our Christmas-in-New-York filled weekend. I took a page from Emily‘s blog and used her preferred sugar cookie recipe and royal icing instructions.
