After a restful last week, I broke down and reverted back to my overscheduled ways.
Old habits die hard?
Rather than going out to dinner, I’ve been opting to host friends instead – it’s healthier, more relaxed, and a quick commute to bed. Â I had Usha over on Monday and Viviana over today, and went to book club at Julia’s last night (this was our book and it was excellent). Â I’m packing for Austin tomorrow night, where I will be eating copious amounts of queso and celebrating our cousin’s wedding reception.
We jet off on our Scandinavian vacation in 9 days (cannot wait), so next week will be as crazed as this one.  I love it, though.
- If only visiting Camille’s stunning home was on my agenda for my Austin trip. Â Can you say gorgeous?
- 30 smart career moves to make before you’re 30. Â Or at any age. Â H/T to Raluca for sharing it. Â (Side note – who wants to take an improv class with me?)
- You know you love me, xoxo…Washington interns?
- Felicia‘s beautifully written essays are no stranger here, and her view on work as a relationship is…well, brilliant.
- I’ve read every article and book on productivity and work structure, and heartily endorse this article on how to structure your workday.
- Thanks to Annie, I will be making a visit to the Frick before they begin their expansion project. Â Another thanks to her for sharing these old photographs of the Kennedys enjoying summer.
- Filed under things I need – kitschy cocktail napkins emblazoned with a whino and seeing double zebras.
Any exciting plans this week or weekend? Â COMMENT below and let me know!
