Apologies for my absence last week! I got hit with a nasty summer cold + too many deadlines, and had to take the week for myself.
Life is overflowing at the moment – all GOOD things, but overwhelming all the same. More on that tomorrow (I know, I know, I hate doing the cryptic thing, but it really warrants its own post).
This week is one of extremes – working like a madwoman until tomorrow, and then embracing slug life tomorrow and through the weekend.
We’re staying in the city this weekend, so bring on the normally-impossible-to-get reservations (Sushi Nakazawa!), early morning walks with Rho, and 4th of July fireworks from the comfort of our own home.
- Diane Keaton – Oscar winner, the OG sartorial man repeller, and talented interior decorator. #womancrushwednesday
- Who else is watching Wimbledon? Here’s how Arthur Ashe stunned the sports world with his victory at the legendary grass tournament.
- Add this simple and chic beauty look from Olivia to your rotation.
- Why we should evict Andrew Jackson from the $20 bill instead of Alexander Hamilton on the $10.
- I want to go to there.
- A great essay on the necessity of alone time by Victoria. It doesn’t happen often, but I love to take a hot bath with a face mask, in a candlelit bathroom. No phone. No book. No distraction.
- I shared my advice on living with your partner, along with some other ladies, on Mackenzie’s blog.
If lengthy, state-of-my-life posts aren’t your thing, feel free to skip tomorrow’s post. I’ll be back to my regular posting schedule next week. And *hopefully* from here on out.
