The new fall show Pan Am has me lusting for the glamour that travel used to have. Â It’s hard to feel glamorous while dealing with weather delays, airplane “food” that costs an arm and a leg, and neighboring passengers sitting too close for comfort. Â While travel has become more of a hassle than a luxury in our current day, I try and bring a little style in my travel outfits, even when I’m boarding a plane for pleasure instead of business.
Traveling from San Diego (from a conference) to Atlanta (for a wedding), with a layover in Chicago (while always leads to a delay) called for light layers and comfortable basics. Â Slim black pants and a tunic tee, a drapey cardigan, subtle jewels, and an attempt at Serena van der Woodsen-hair makes me feel more glam and less gross when trudging through airports and boarding flights. Â These self-portraits (with my iPhone and Instagram) sums up my traveling life – slightly harried, making the most of what I have, and always on the go.
