While this week is blissfully slower than the past few ones (documented here and here), it just happens to be one filled with travel.
Story of my life.
I headed to Illinois yesterday for a quick business trip, and I’m jetting off to West Virginia tomorrow for the wedding of one of my dearest friends. We also get to catch up with some family (including my husband’s grandmother) while in WV, which I’m particularly excited for.
I’m back in NYC for just 18 hours today, and spending a few of them catching up with a college friend visiting from Seattle.
All fun. All good.
Minus the hassle of actually traveling.
Some favorite reads from the week:
- My Beijing experience was challenging (to say the least), but I’d love to visit China’s capital with Gary Shteyngart.
- I am SO DAMN PROUD of Liz and the relaunch of her business. Â I’m skipping this round, but will definitely be joining the Wild Soul Movement come fall. Â Brava, Liz!
- If famous women in paintings were Photoshopped.
- These veggie enchiladas need to be in my belly yesterday.
- My brave friend Naina made the leap from the pharmaceutical industry to entrepreneurship. Â She chronicled her inspiring story for the Huffington Post, and it’s a must-read.
- Read, kids, read. Â It’s more important than ever.
